Made from GOTS-certified organic rib cotton and dyed using Cotinus coggygria, also known as the smoke tree - a botanical traditionally used in Europe and Asia in herbal and natural dyeing practices. Cotinus is naturally rich in plant polyphenols and tannins, compounds studied for their antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. Carefully controlled plant-based dyeing creates subtle, elevated tones while minimizing unnecessary chemical exposure compared to conventional dye systems.
